Rats

RAT CONTROL, RAT CLEARANCE & RODENT ERADICATION IN EAST ANGLIA

Rats are fairly ubiquitous creatures and are not confined to either “rural” or “town” settings.  The rat is a known disease carrier, a prolific breeder and in most situations not a welcome visitor- we do suggest using professional pest control to deal with rats……..

We operate throughout East Anglia, being based between Ely and Cambridge allows us access to Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.  Regardless of where you are having problems with rats, be it in your house/garage, work place/business premise or on your farm/agricultural setting we will be able to assist you.

We are called upon to deal with rats in almost all environments be they: domestic homes  | farms | commercial industries | storage facilities | sewers | lofts | under your garden shed …

Rats under garden compost bin- CambridgeRat numbers do appear to be rising and our ‘contact’ with them increasing. There are many potential contributing factors to this...(!!)

Of the two species of rat that you may find in the UK it is the common rat AKA brown rat/sewer rat, or more correctly Rattus norvegicus, that is the major pest species. The rats ability to survive under the most stressing of conditions is well known, as is its ability to successfully populate areas.

Unlike small mouse infestations we never recommend anyone ‘having a go’ at treating their rat problem. Rats are prolific carriers and spreaders of diseases, they cause significant damage to goods by both chewing them and secondly by urinating and defecating on them, they also have the ability to perpetrate significant damage to structures e.g. wooden rafters and beams, doors and frames, electrical wires and cabling, thatched roofs, dustbins

If you own a premise where the public frequent the very sighting if a rat is often enough to damage your reputation.  We do offer contractual rodent and pest control services to commercial premises.

The burrowing or rats is often a tell-tale sign of their presence. We often get calls where significant rat holes have been made in and around compost heaps, under sheds and beneath patios. A further common problem area has been under garden decking.

Obviously physically bigger than our other most common pest rodent (mouse) the rat is also a prolific breeder. Our advice is always treat rat problems and infestations at the earliest point possible.

Once your rat problem has been cleared you must take action to stop it reoccurring and we will give you advice on this also. We also carry out rodent proofing work where suitable.
